I am a landscape photographer living in Cumbria. Since taking early retirement some years ago, I have been able to pursue my passion for landscape photography, which developed out of my interest in the Great Outdoors. I delight in exploring the natural beauty, light and moods not only of the Lake District, but also of the Yorkshire Dales, Northern Pennines and the islands and highlands of Scotland. My interest in landscape photography now extends to the built environment.
Working traditionally with film, both black & white and colour, I use a variety of camera formats, including the large-format Fuji 617 panoramic camera for much of my colour work and this allows out-size enlargements of high quality. Recently I have embraced monochrome pinhole photography, which allows me to explore the landscape in an unusual and revealing way. At the other extreme, my complementary monochrome work extends to using a 5"x4" Ebony 45S large-format wooden field camera.
As well as having appeared in calendars, magazines and greetings cards, my work has been used by local firms and businesses, while out-sized enlargements of my colour panoramic images have been acquired by a number of individuals and businesses, both local and from further afield.
Prints from my images are available in a range of sizes and formats, whether as image only, mounted only or mounted and framed. For more information and details of pricing, please contact me to discuss your requirements.
